Our school enjoyed a costume parade as a celebration of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System). We wore our costumes and paraded through the hallways. Students cheered each other on and then we enjoyed a Halloween treat.

Our book fair is coming!
Check out the website here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/homepage.do?method=homepage&url=springroadelementaryschool1&appesp=CPT/ib/20120101///txtl/FairFindertoHomepage Stay tuned for more information! Grandparents and retired friends day is November 3. This is also an early dismissal. Grandparents and friends are welcome to visit classrooms from 9-11. If your child is able to go home with their grandparent or friend, a note must be given! Thanks!
Hope they can make it to see all the great things we are doing here! We are so proud! As a class, we earned the most roadrunner tickets last week compared to any class in the school. I am so proud of my students. We are excited that we get to have the roadrunner outside of our classroom for the whole week to remind us and celebrate! Great things are happening in here!
We had our first Junior Achievement session last week Thursday. We are lucky to have Druis' dad for this learning experience. Students are looking forward to learning more about careers and our community. Ask your child what we did at our first session! We will have JA sessions for the next 5 weeks. Let me know if you have questions!
I am looking forward to conferences so we can chat about your child. I have lots of good things to share. Please complete the conferences questionnaire that is going home. This will help me prepare for additional questions or concerns you have! Thank you in advance!
Students are excited to have a buddy bench at school where students who cannot find a friend to play with will be able to sit and be approached by a friend to play. There are rules on the buddy bench. Students have to join the first person that tries to include them. They must try and find a friend to play with first. What a great way to kick off anti-bullying month!
Students enjoyed an assembly and skits done by the fire department. They reviewed emergencies regarding fires and the importance of having a plan to get out as well as checking your smoke detector. Remember, every bedroom in your house must have one!! Students have the chance to win a free bike or a visit to the fire station by turning in their smoke detector contracts.
